1- Absolutely loved this one. Happy Madison has made another great comedy. All actors are perfect for their parts. Production quality is high. Jokes are great, and best of all it has zero wokeness. Imagine a movie in 2023 with no wokeness. The amount of violence is perfect and seeing Adam Devine get beaten is just hilarious. The getaway scenes are funny and hightly entertaining. I hope we get to a sequel to this one as i would like to see more of this. Its not all straight forward in this even if it might seem like that its got some surprises in it. Seeing Ellen Barkin and Pierce Brosnan togheter in this was a really good experience.
2- IMHO and simply taking this as a straightforward movie without any political consideration, it does it’s job really well. None of the emotionally fraught moments of the journey are over dramatized. Nothing is swelled on so there is a constant sense of progression yet nothing is rushed. Attention to detail is good and the acting and cinematography are both strong.
