1- I had the opportunity to sit down in 2022 and watch the 2022 Chinese action movie “The Curious Case of Tianjin”. Granted, I hadn’t even heard about this movie from writer Hu Rong and director Si Shu-Bu prior to watching it, so I didn’t know what it was about or what to expect. All I knew was that it was a Chinese action movie that I hadn’t already seen, and that was essentially enough to make me watch it.

2- Actually and truth be told, then I was at a loss throughout most of the movie, not really knowing what was going on or whom all the characters were or what their motivations were. So that was somewhat of a factor that played against the overall enjoyment of “The Curious Case of Tianjin” for me.
